Around The Watercooler - Week of December 10

This week I published my first guest post, Escape the Trenches of Being a Stat Junkie, on Jamie Harrop’s blog. I offer my blogger view of constantly checking web stats. There were some good conversations going on so I’ll recommend reading the comments from that post.

I’d like to thank Jamie Harrop for publishing my guest post and making it a very successful one. Blogging reaches new heights for me by writing for other bloggers. Visit Jamie’s site for great content and knowledge of blogging tips and advice.

Smashing Magazine published a blog post of 10 Useful RSS Tricks and Hacks. New information for me and for many new bloggers out there.

This week I received two pitches through my contact form which brought me to Lifehack’s article on How To Pitch Successfully. Brandon Mendelson lists easy steps to getting yourself, as a blogger, or your product across the table.

Coming up in future posts I’ll be blogging about free Wordpress themes or premium Wordpress themes following this post and at the end of the week a Blog Hosting Special. Stay cool.

Around The Watercooler - Week of December 3 2008

This week I’ve followed two new bloggers, Guy Kawasaki and Chris Brogan. Both are influentials in the blogging community. Lifehack has a simple article on pitching successfully, no I’m not talking about baseball!

Just started using Alltop which is a great resource to see what your niche competitors are blogging about. You’ll find a large range of niche blogs there. Jamie Harrop guest posted on John Chow’s site about increasing your blog post quality and Chris Brogan blogs about Alltop.

Overall, great links and great reads. Hope you enjoy today’s roundup.

Week of November 26 - Around The Watercooler

This week I found a variety of sites out there. We’ve got contests, career building, creativity building, photography and music. My favorite out of these are the Obama photos which document his journey from before he had a huge security detail. Be sure to check those out.

The last two links are music related. One being from the Jason Mraz concert in October from San Diego. The concert is available for download in .flac audio files. The other is a video about not working today. I hope you enjoy!
